Liverpool Anglican Cathedral
The largest cathedral in Britain, this unique building cuts an imposing silhouette on Liverpool’s skyline. Work started at the beginning of the 20th century, and the building survived two world wars before its completion in 1978.
St George's Hall
Majestic and magnificent, St George’s Hall is one of the finest examples of neo-classical architecture in the world. Discover the extraordinary vaulted ceiling, iconic concert organ, and gilded porticoes whilst exploring this incredible venue in the heart of Liverpool.
Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral
The spectacular and modernist Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King is an icon of the Liverpool cityscape. From the outside, soaring buttresses reach heavenwards; yet the inside is bathed with a kaleidoscopic light thanks to the lantern window’s expanse of coloured glass. Below, the dramatic Lutyens Crypt offers a calm and atmospheric space.
Mersey Explorer Cruise

Lady Lever Art Gallery
The Lady Lever Art Gallery was founded in the 1920s by William Hesketh Lever, and continues to display the very best of his personal art collection. Today, the gallery is celebrated for its excellent fine & decorative arts exhibits, as well as its wonderful collection of Pre-Raphaelite paintings.
Port Sunlight
The garden village of Port Sunlight is a unique example of early urban planning in Britain. Built in the late 1800s to house workers from the nearby Lever Brothers soap factory, the village has revival architecture representing many periods of British building history, and today is home to more than 900 Grade II listed buildings.
Speke Hall (NT)
This rare timber-framed manor house by the River Mersey dates back to Tudor times, and is known for its lavish Great Hall surrounded by idyllic gardens. Restored during the Victorian era after a period of neglect, this property is a unique combination of 16th century simplicity and 19th century Arts and Crafts aesthetic.
The Lowry
This bold building, located on the waterfront of Manchester’s Salford Quays, is home to theatres, galleries and places to eat. It hosts an extensive curated collection of works by LS Lowry, as well as changing exhibitions by artists of international renown.
