Ventimiglia

One of the city’s main attractions is the extensive outdoor market which has a great atmosphere and is packed with wondrous wares – from delicious foods to unusual antiques. It also has the remains of a Roman theatre and baths, the stunning Hanbury Gardens, and the beautiful medieval hill town of Ventimiglia Alta.

Menton

In the charming old town, le vieux Menton, you’ll find lovingly restored medieval buildings lining narrow streets, with plenty of shops and cafés to enjoy. There are several lovely churches to explore, including the Chapel de Pénitents Blancs which sits on the top of the hill with wonderful sea views.

Cervo

With a heritage dating back over 2,000 years, this idyllic village has plenty to pique your interest. The village served as an important trade route to France and Spain during the 2^nd century BC. Its pedestrianised centre has charming cobbled streets, old houses and a selection of galleries and shops to explore. Take a relaxing stroll on the beach area with great views of both land and sea.

Genoa

Thought of as the gateway to the Riviera, Italy’s largest sea port has a rich heritage to discover. During the 12^th and 13^th centuries, Genoa ruled the Mediterranean seas – you’ll find plenty of interesting architecture harking back to its glory days. Wonders such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Palazzi dei Rolli, and stunning halls from the Enlightenment era are well worth exploring.
